Industrial Insulation in Melbourne

Spray foam industrial insulation for Melbourne properties

Victoria's cold winters and changeable weather can drive condensation in steel buildings and add load on temperature-sensitive processes. Closed cell foam insulates and isn't water permeable, while coatings help protect exposed surfaces.

Our Ravenhall depot is in Melbourne's west, and our crew covers the western, northern and south eastern suburbs, along with Geelong and regional Victoria by arrangement.

Why use sprayed systems on industrial assets

  • Follows complex shapes

Sprayed in place around tanks, pipes, supports and steelwork.

  • Continuous coverage

Forms one layer across the surface, with fewer gaps and joins.

  • Moisture control

Closed cell foam isn't water permeable, helping manage condensation.

  • Certified systems

Backed by ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certified systems.

How it works

How we approach an industrial project

  1. Installers reviewing project details on siteStep 1

    Scope the asset

We review the asset, environment, access and what you need the system to do.

  2. Steel storage tankStep 2

    Choose the system

We recommend an insulation or coating system, and confirm it against data sheets.

  3. Installer in protective gear spraying foamStep 3

    Apply on site

Certified crews prepare the area and apply the system with site safety requirements in mind.

  4. Finished insulation in a large steel buildingStep 4

    Check and hand over

We check the coverage, tidy up and hand the area back to your team.

Industrial Insulation Melbourne FAQs

What people ask about industrial insulation in Melbourne, from access and R-values through to safety and cost.

Have a specific project question?

Our team can talk through your substrate, access, climate and the data sheets you need.

Ask Our Technical Team

Which Victorian areas do you service for industrial insulation?

Our Ravenhall depot covers Greater Melbourne, Geelong, the Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Ranges. Contact us about projects elsewhere in Victoria.

What industrial assets can you insulate?

We work on plant, tanks, pipework, steel buildings, mining camps, transportable buildings and shipping containers. Tell us about your asset and we'll assess whether a sprayed system suits it.

Do you also apply protective coatings?

Yes. We offer polyurea and polyurethane protective coatings, and can look at insulation and coating needs together on the same asset.

Can you work on remote or operating sites?

We work on remote and mining projects. Tell us the location, access and site requirements early, so we can plan crews, equipment and inductions.

What R-value can you achieve?

It depends on the system and thickness. As a guide, closed cell foam gives around R2.0 at 48mm. The operating temperature and environment also affect the choice, and we confirm details against current data sheets.

Can you supply data sheets for our project?

Yes. Contact us with the application, and we can provide the relevant data sheets for your engineers or site team to review.

Is spray foam suitable for high-temperature pipes or equipment?

It depends on the operating temperature and product limits. Foam has a maximum service temperature and must be kept clear of heat sources as the manufacturer requires, so tell us your temperatures early.

Is spray foam fire rated?

Spray foam is generally classified as a combustible material under the NCC, and fire performance is specific to the tested product and configuration. Ask us for the data sheet that applies to your project, and read our fire performance page for more detail.

How do you price industrial projects?

Pricing depends on the asset, access, location and system. Contact us with your scope for a free, no-obligation quote.
